The Brother XV8500D is THE Dream Machine and it’s on its way to Australia.
Just released in the USA, the Brother XV8500 – The Dream Machine wowed launch-goers with one impressive feature after another and Sew This & That’s Danielle was there to run her very impressed eye over it. Read her review here, and then join us for the PRE LAUCH September 13th.
Brother’s latest flagship THE Dream Machine proved that it is more than just a scattering of improvements on top of their previous and very successful Quattro. At first sight, the machine has been externally restyled, with sleek straight lines and a bigger sewing space and screen. The minimalist shaping of the sewing bed gives more room to move, enough room for a KING size quilt, while the larger 10.1 inch screen is clear and easy to see even from just about any angle. Open the top cover, and nestled between the tread spool, and the separate motored bobbin winder unit, is a slender LED light which delightfully enhances that appearance of the XV8500D. Then as THE Dream Machine starts up, this simple LED becomes the INNOVACHROME LED Thread Colour and Monitoring System – instantly an indispensable new feature to make day-to-day use so much easier. Now embroidering, the so so quiet Dream Machine is filling its enormous 9.4 inch by 14 inch Stability Plus embroidery hoop – a hoop reinforced with aluminium, rubber and ribbed corners, reducing the fabric slippage that can sometimes plague large hooping areas.
Right about now, Brother fans are hooked, but there is so much more. Any Quattro owner will tell you that the Innoveye is like having a built-in camera and scanner in your sewing machine, and they have been enjoying their Quattro’s carefree design positioning. The INNOVEYE 2 continues in this tradition, but adds extra scanning and scan-to-design functions that let you create stitched and stippled masterpieces without software. Add to this the ability to design by hand-drawing directly on the screen, and the option to import JPG images, and your creativity is virtually boundless. PLUS the Innoveye 2 scans twice as fast, with three times the resolution for clearer results in less time than ever before.
Of course, there is a whole world of sewing features to explore on THE Dream Machine. Heavy, bulky sewing is a breeze with the MUVIT Digital Feed System, a system that outdates clunky walking feet and offers smooth and fast multi-layered sewing, while the SEW STRAIGHT 2 Laser Vision Guide projects a path ahead of the foot for you to follow. Straight stiches wizz by at a super-fast 1050spm while decorative stitches are faster than ever at an impressive 710spm.
It’s their biggest machine ever and the Brother XV8500D – THE Dream Machine is set for a September launch date in Australia. Overflowing with industry-first features, while embracing Brother’s down-to-earth functionality, it is as impressive as it is feature-packed. Arrival dates in Australia are still being finalized, but after spending time with THE Dream Machine, it certainly deserves the anticipation.
